In short

What is corporate leadership training?

Corporate leadership training is structured development delivered inside an organisation to build a consistent standard of leadership across managers and teams. Unlike open-enrolment courses, it uses the company’s own structures, language and live challenges, so what participants practise in the room is what they face the next morning.

Start With You delivers customised in-house programmes across Dubai and the UAE, built on the SDI 2.0 assessment and scoped with HR or the sponsoring leader before anything is scheduled.

When executives seek coaching

What organisations bring us

Corporate training gets commissioned when a people problem starts showing up in the numbers.

01

Inconsistent management standards

The employee experience depends entirely on who someone reports to, and engagement scores show it.

02

Regrettable attrition

Capable people leaving a specific team or layer, with exit interviews pointing at management rather than pay.

03

Technical promotions

Excellent specialists promoted into leadership without ever being taught how to lead.

04

Escalation overload

Issues that should resolve at team level travelling up to directors, consuming senior time.

05

Post-restructure fatigue

A team that has absorbed change after change and needs its managers to lead differently through the next one.

06

Rapid growth

Headcount rising faster than management capability, with culture drifting as new joiners outnumber established staff.

The approach

Training built on your context, not a template

Generic leadership training gets good feedback and changes nothing. The reason is simple: participants can’t connect a case study about a fictional company to the conversation they’re dreading on Sunday.

Every in-house programme is scoped before it’s designed. What is happening in your business right now, what your managers actually control, the language your organisation already uses. Practice scenarios come from those realities.

The SDI 2.0 assessment underpins the work. It gives an entire management layer a shared, non-judgemental language for motive and difference — which is what makes feedback and disagreement possible without damage afterwards.

Scope

A conversation with HR or the sponsor before anything is designed.

Deliver

Small cohorts, live situations, practice rather than presentation.

Embed

Commitments, sponsor summary and a review session at 90 days.

Individually we can make a difference, but together we can change the world.

Programme areas

What we train

Programmes are assembled from these areas and adapted to your business. Most organisations start with two or three.

01 Manager foundations

The core of leading people, for a layer that was promoted on technical strength.

  • Moving from doing the work to leading it
  • Setting expectations that don’t need rescuing
  • One-to-ones that are worth the hour
  • Delegation matched to capability

Reducing the friction that consumes managerial time.

  • The three stages of conflict and each person’s sequence
  • Motive-based understanding of difference
  • Resolving at team level instead of escalating
  • Repairing relationships that have hardened

The relationships that consume disproportionate energy.

  • Understand your conflict sequence and the triggers that start it
  • Repair hardened peer and board relationships
  • Hold a position without escalating or conceding

Carrying teams through restructures, growth and uncertainty.

  • What people need at each stage of change
  • Leading credibly without all the answers
  • Managing your own energy while steadying others
  • Embedding new ways of working

Leading teams that span twenty nationalities.

  • Directness, hierarchy and silence read differently across cultures
  • Adapting delivery without diluting the message
  • Inclusion that shows up in meeting behaviour
  • Common misreads and how to prevent them

Building internal capability so development doesn’t depend on external providers.

  • Asking rather than telling, and when each is right
  • Structured development conversations
  • Growing capability inside the team
  • Sustaining the habit after the training ends

How it works

From scoping to embedded change

A defined engagement, with the sponsor involved at both ends.

01

Scoping conversation

Thirty to sixty minutes with HR or the sponsoring leader: population, pain points, constraints and what success looks like.

02

Proposal and design

A written proposal covering module mix, format, dates and investment. Content and scenarios are then built from your context.

03

SDI 2.0 assessments

Participants complete the assessment online beforehand and receive their personal profiles at the first session.

04

Delivery

Workshops run on site, at a Dubai venue or live online, in cohorts small enough for genuine practice.

05

Commitments and sponsor summary

Each participant leaves with commitments to apply; the sponsor receives a themes summary — never individual session content.

06

Review at 90 days

A follow-up session to test what held, address what didn’t, and agree what the organisation carries forward itself.

Return on the investment

What organisations see afterwards

Agreed at scoping, reviewed at close. These are the measures clients most often set.

Fewer escalations

Issues resolved at team level, releasing senior management time for actual leadership.

Better retention in the target layer

People stay for managers who develop them, and the exit-interview pattern shifts.

Consistent management standards

One employee experience across teams, rather than a lottery based on line manager.

Faster, cleaner conversations

Performance issues addressed in weeks rather than after a year of documentation.

Stronger internal pipeline

Visible development that makes promoting from within a realistic option.

A common language

Motive-based vocabulary that outlives the programme and shows up in everyday meetings.

FAQs

Corporate training questions, answered

How is corporate training customised to our organisation?

A scoping conversation with HR or the sponsoring leader establishes what’s not working now, the structures and language your business uses, and the specific situations managers face. Modules, examples and practice scenarios are then built from that — not lifted from a generic deck.

Workshops run best at six to sixteen participants. For larger populations we run repeat cohorts on a rolling schedule so the group stays small enough for real practice, while the whole layer receives the same content.

Yes. Delivery is on site anywhere in the UAE, at a Dubai venue, or live online. Split and hybrid cohorts are possible where teams operate across shifts or multiple markets.

Programmes are delivered in English. Materials can be reviewed in advance where a cohort would benefit, and pacing is adapted for teams working in English as a second or third language.

Success measures are agreed at scoping in observable terms — escalation volume, retention in a specific layer, feedback conversations actually happening. Participant reaction is captured at the close, and a follow-up session at 90 days reviews what held and what didn’t.

Content overlaps; the buyer and the scope differ. Courses are modular programmes for a cohort of managers who opt in. Corporate training is commissioned by the organisation to roll a common standard across a function or the whole management layer, using its own context throughout.

Yes, and it’s usually the strongest combination. Training establishes shared language across the layer; one-to-one coaching handles the individuals carrying the most complexity or the biggest step up.

Programmes are quoted per cohort based on group size, number of days and whether SDI 2.0 assessments are included. Send your headcount, timeframe and objectives and you’ll receive a written proposal with scope and investment set out clearly.
